*ok i have a problem. i have a good guy friend who's name is Ben. Well Ben and I had feelings for each other two years back when we were in sixth grade. we went out for a month and a half but i broke it off because i wasn't sure if he still liked me or not. it was a misunderstanding, u know how sixth grade relationships go. well anyways ive really felt something for him for a long time. since then iv had another bf (we split up..) and i would still find myself thinking about ben, or flirting with him. we both flirt a lot. his good friend who is also my good friend told me that he really realy likes me hes just too shy to admit it. also my Best friend thinks we should get together, because she thinks we both r ment to b. but i have no idea wut i should think! skool is coming up and i really wanna know his feelings for me without actually asking him to his face. ok well im 16 and i have a problem. See I alwase try to get the guys attention. I really want a Boyfriend but no guy notices me. Im not bad lookin ,im smart and fun. I think lol. Anypalce I alwase do things to get the guys to even say hi or to just look at me for a second. I wear perfume and wear low cut shirts and smile and im so nice and w.e . I think they think im 2 shy. 1: i had the same problem. even though he knows you like him, you should act like it's no big deal. it's perfectly natural to like someone, and you can't help it, he's attractive, right? right. just try going over some conversations in your head, a few things you can talk about. then bring one up when you next see him. you'll already have things to say, and he'll probably feel much more comfortable around you once you're more comfortable around him. 2: start by smiling as you pass in the hallway. throw in a "hey" or a "what's up?" as you go by his locker. little things like that let him know you're interested. if you feel really brave, ask him if he's going to the football game on friday. that will REALLY show him! 3: (my problem. lol.) i have a guy friend who WAS really cool, until i found out that he has a crush on me! it's not just that, but he's been getting more and more annoying lately. i'm not supposed to know that he likes me, so should i keep pretending, or should i say something? okay. there is this guy that ive liked for a year and a month now. ive liked him since the first day i ever saw him. and about 5 months after the first day i saw him i had the courage to talk to him. and it wasnt long after that that he asked me out. we didnt really even kno each other that much. we went out for a month and a half .and then he broke up with me. and im still obsessing over him. and now i just started hi skool. and i he has none of my classes but i c him in the mornings..durin one period and at lunch. but the whole thing to this whole story is that i dont know how to talk to him anymore. im like so quite when im around him. and if i say something i end up saying something really stupid and then i feel like the biggest dork alive and then im afraid to talk to him again. and i just feel so retarted and so stupid when im around him cuz i dont kno wut to do or wut to say. and i kno it sounds weird. but i really need help. but i really like this guy. and he knows....but i just dont kno how to act around him. i kno i should act like myself.....but the th ing is....how do i do it? please help me and my pathetic problem! luv alwayz : Nadina [lonelyloser]

Hello. I would really appreciate a response to this! O.K. Two years ago, I witnessed the attempted murder and rape of my best friend Amy. We were walking home from a birthday party when a big blue truck sped passed us, smashed into the gate at the foot of one of my neighbors house, and this guy in shorts jumped out, kicked the door shut, yelling obsenities, and then turned and started to come after us. We started to run but he was faster and he caught up with us really fast! He hit me a few times and then grabbed my friend, ripped off her clothes, raped her and then proceeded to beat her up. Even though this man is now in jail for 9 years (although it's 8 and 1/2 now) and I know justice has been served,...I still can't get the memories out of my head. Not one day goes by that I don't think about it! Please!!! Is there any way that you can think of that will help me!?! PLEASE!!! If you think I'm just making this up, you can read the back issue of the L.A. Times for July 12, 2001. Please! Help! I'm desperate!
